John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado that specialized in folk pop music has touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was raised in Roswell New Mexico. He fell in love Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually settled in Aspen. Denver's national anthems to his adopted state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. G. Brown, curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver is the only performer to embody Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever to be inducted. He is now the face of Colorado on the world stage. On my journeys around the world, I have met many non-Colorado residents. Colorado. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist following a brief time in folk group was Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff was credited with Johnny Cash as the inspiration for the song, but Denver discovered that it was destined to become a smash hit when he heard an earlier version.
