Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works in film and TV is best known for films such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her showbiz career in the early years of her life. At the age of 16, she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land the leading roles in numerous shows on television. She was praised for her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this diva.
